THIS year’s Equifest – The Festival for Horse Lovers – is set to be bigger and better with a host of new innovations throughout this five day equestrian extravaganza.
Entering its eighth year and building on the success of last year’s show, Equifest 2016, will be held from August 17 to the 21 at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.
Highly regarded for its’ much anticipated and spectacular evening performances, wide range of showing classes, fun fancy dress competitions, brilliant demonstrations and master classes, visitors and spectators always talk about the fantastic atmosphere that Equifest is well known for.
Said Equine Events Manager, Betsy Branyan: “We are well underway with our plans for the 2016 event with a host of new ideas and demonstrations planned.
“As The Festival for Horse Lovers, we want Equifest to bring together the wider equestrian community so that everyone can feel involved with what is a great five days of competition, education and learning, all backed by new and exciting demonstrations.
“It may not take place until August, but the countdown to Equifest is certainly on with some great new opportunities available for competitors, spectators and sponsors.”
Competitors will be treated to non-stop classes taking place in the many rings around the East of England Showground and culminating each day in the electric vibe of the TopSpec Championship Arena.
Equifest features the most extensive range of showing classes to suit every type of horse, pony and rider, from heavy horse classes, to re-trained racehorses, coloured classes to miniatures, variety is key when it comes to this equestrian summer party.
One of the brightest stars in the showing calendar and now the largest equestrian show in the UK, entries at Equifest exceed more than12,000, with some 1500 stables provided onsite.
With five days of showing, entertainment and shopping, Equifest 2016 promises to be fun for the whole family to enjoy.
